Caging Requirements for the Great Plains Skink

Use a 20 gallon terrarium or larger with 2 to 3 inches or more of 50/50 mix sand and cypress mulch for burrowing. Day time temperatures of mid 80s with basking spot of 90 to 95. Night temperatures in the 60s. UVB lighting required and shallow water dish.  Mist daily. Provide flat rocks for basking on and burrowing underneath.
