King Baboon Tarantula

The King Baboon Tarantula (Citharischius crawshayi) is a tarantula species native to East Africa. The spider is often rusty brown or orange in colour. As a burrowing species, the back legs are very thick and used for digging burrows. It is popular among tarantula collectors but is highly aggressive and not suitable for beginners.

The King Baboon spider can grow up to 20 cm in leg span. It is a slow growing species.

All Live Animals are shipped Priority Overnight Delivery to your door from Fedex or UPS. Orders received are generally processed and shipped the day after they are received. Please check the schedule found elsewhere on this page for your expected delivery date.

We offer a 7 Day Live Arrival Guarantee.

Here are some of the terms of our Guarantee Policy:

• If your order arrives dead (DOA), there will be no additional cost for the replacement shipment (Amphibians not included).  
• Your are responsible for the shipping fees to replace any DOA amphibians.
• Additionally, if your animal dies within the first 7 days, we will issue you store credit to get another one but the additional shipping charges are your responsibility.
• You must notify us of any DOA animals and provide pictures on the day you receive the shipment. No exceptions.
• You are responsible for all shipping charges on any deceased amphibians.
• You must notify us by email if there is a problem.
• You must provide proof of the deceased animal.
• You must accept your package on the first delivery attempt.
• We guarantee our shipments in any weather conditions.
• By placing an order, you agree to all of our Terms of Service and our Guarantee Policy.
