Anerythrystic Honduran Milksnake (Lampropeltis triangulum hondurensis)
Size of an Anery Honduran Milk Snake
Baby Honduran Milk Snakes are 10 to 14 inches and quickly grow to reach an adult size of 3 to 5 feet.
Feeding an Anery Honduran Milk Snake
Honduran Milk Snakes can be fed on an appropriately sized mouse or rat once every week. The food offered should be roughly the thickness of the snake at the centre of its length. Milk snakes are best fed at dusk or after nightfall.
Caging Requirements for the Anery Honduran Milk Snakes
Housing/Habitat: An aquarium equipped with an under tank heating pad at one end, with aspen, calcium sand, bark or desert blend substrate. Landscape to provide basking areas, climbing areas, and plenty of hiding places. Milksnakes are great escape artists and a secure locking cover is very important.
Lighting: Full spectrum fluorescent UV bulbs and a basking light are required.
Temperature: Day 76° –86°F Night 72°-74°F
Water: A bowl of clean water should always be available for drinking and soaking.
