Spotted Python for Sale

Spotted Pythons (Antaresia maculosa) are native to the East Coast of Queensland in dry forests and steppes. These semi-arboreal snakes seem to prefer heavily wooded areas. They are more active at night but often roam around during the day as well. It has an irregular, blotched color pattern throughout its life. The blotches have ragged edges because the dark pigmentation occurs only on complete scales.

Our captive-bred babies are usually 12 to 15 inches and grow to a maximum adult size of 4 to 5 feet.

Feeding Your Spotted Python

Spotted Pythons can be fed on an appropriately sized mouse or rat once every week. The food offered should be roughly the thickness of the snake at the centre of its length.

Caging Requirementes for Your Spotted Python

Housing/Habitat: Provide a substrate of aspen or wood mulch at least 2” deep. A small, heavy bowl of fresh water and shelter, such as a hollow log or concave rock or plastic “cave” are the three essential pieces of cage furniture.

Temperature: A hot spot of almost 90F should be provided at one end.
