Singapore Blue Tarantula for Sale

The Singapore Blue Tarantula (Cyriopagopus sp.) is a large, arboreal species, of tarantula from countries Malaysia and Singapore. The body is a very colorful blue with brown or even gold carapace. The male equivalent is usually never as vibrant. Singapore Blues are common as pets because of their beautiful colors. Caution should be taken as these are very aggressive animals.

This species can grow from 7 to 10 inches.

Feeding Your Singapore Blue Tarantula

Spiderlings can eat pinhead crickets and other small insects, Adults will eat crickets, locusts, meal worms and other insects of equal size. Recommended feeding includes four to six live crickets, every few weeks. Gut loading, or providing prey with vitamins and other nutrients, provides tarantulas with a healthy meal. Uneaten prey should be removed after one day. Fasting, or not eating, for days or weeks at a time is sometimes an indication of an upcoming moult. A water dish should be supplied and maintained, shallow enough for the tarantula to drink from.

Caging Requirements for Your Singapore Blue Tarantula

Housing/Habitat: This species requires a well planted terrarium with many spots suitable to build a web also a hollow log propped up against the side of the tank will do just as well. Height is more important to than floor space to this species. They also require a Substrata for the floor of the tank like peat moss, potting soil, wood chip or Vermiculite which is what I recommend as it holds moisture very well and doesn't encourage the growth of moulds or mites like potting soil. The substrata should be about 1 or 2 inches deep.

Temperature: A temperature of 75 to 85°F is fine. 

Humidity: A humidity level of about 60 to 75% is fine.
